The most important task in the garden (in my humble opinion) is watering. Fighting with an unruly garden hose can be extremely demoralizing, and I believe is the biggest reason that most people are not more successful at gardening. Who wants to get beat up by your garden hose and the end of a long hot day, especially when you're an old guy like me ? With a wall mounted hose reel I rarely have to fight with a stubborn hose on the ground, I'm able to control the hose with rarely having to bend over at all. I'm rolling up the hose with out bending over at all. I'm able to water without a battle and saving myself from tons of frustration and wasted energy. Mobile hose reels are an option, but the wall mounted ones sit a little higher up, and seem to necessitate less bending. The less bending down to work at your feet, the less energy you're spending.
